Useful Information

Smoking Policy

Passengers must observe the non-smoking policy on board the ships, hotels and other transport provided. If smoke is detected in any accommodation a cleaning fee of £165 per occurrence will be billed to the passenger's account. Smoking restrictions include e-cigarette smoking. If there is a violation of the non-smoking policy then passengers may be disembarked from the ship or asked to leave the hotel without refund.

Children

For holidays other than cruises we are unable to accommodate children under 9 years old at the date of departure. For cruises the minimum age limit is 12 years old at the date of departure. We reserve the right to limit the number of children on any particular cruise. Any minor must be accompanied by and share a cabin with an adult aged 21 or over. If the adult is not the minors parent a “parental consent guardianship form” must be signed by a parent or legal guardian prior to sailing.

What to Wear

Egypt is a predominantly Muslim country. As such, modest dress is appreciated. You should ensure that your shoulders and knees are covered. Due to the potential hot temperatures, it's a good idea to wear loose-fitting, breathable clothing made of linen or cotton. Given that we do visit some ancient historical sites that have uneven ground, it's also important to wear comfortable shoes.  Popular Egyptian dishes include shawarma (a dish featuring seasoned meat, usually chicken, lamb, or beef), koshari (made of rice, pasta, chickpeas, and lentils), and hawawshi (a stuffed meat sandwich made of ground beef or lamb). The food served onboard will provide you with Egyptian cuisine and flavours. However, we also provide other dining options to ensure we cater to everyone.

Payments Onboard

You can pay via card or cash when onboard. However, please bear in mind that we don't accept personal cheques, travellers' cheques, pre-paid credit cards, or currency cards onboard.
